'2021년 재난안전 논문공모전' - 총 포상금 1,650만 원

행정안전부(장관 전해철)는 6월 21일부터 9월 30일까지 ｢2021년 재난안전 논문공모전｣을 개최한다.

올해로 6회째를 맞이한 ‘재난안전 논문공모전’은 재난이나 각종 사고의 예방‧대비‧대응 및 복구에 필요한 기술 등 재난안전분야에 관심이 있는 성인 및 대학(원)생 등 누구나 참가할 수 있다.

참가 희망자는 ‘재난안전 논문공모전 누리집’(www.safetycontest.or.kr)를 통해 제시된 기준에 따라 논문을 작성하여 9월 30일까지 온라인으로 응모하면 된다.

이번 논문공모전은 학생과 일반으로 구분하고, 10월부터 11월까지 기초평가와 서면심사 및 발표심사 과정을 거쳐 공정하게 심사한다.

우선 한국안전학회에서 접수된 논문에 대해 주제의 적합성 등에 관한 기초평가를 실시하여 본심사 대상을 선별하고, 교수 등 전문가로 구성된 심사위원회에서 본심사 대상 논문에 대해 서면심사와 발표심사를 순차적으로 진행하여 수상작 14편을 최종 선정할 계획이다.

또한, 지난해까지는 대상 수상작을 1편만 선정했으나, 올해부터는 학생과 기업체 연구소 등 산업계 종사자 간의 연구 여건 차이를 고려하여 학생과 일반에 각각 1편씩 총 2편의 대상 수상작을 선정한다.

수상자들에게는 12월 2일 개최 예정인 시상식에서 행정안전부장관상 등 상장과 포상금이 수여된다.

상장은 대상 2편과 최우수상 3편에 행정안전부장관상이, 우수상 4편과 장려상 5편에는 한국안전학회장상이 각각 수여된다.

포상금은 대상 500만 원, 최우수상 100만 원, 우수상 50만 원, 장려상 30만 원이 각각 지급된다.

행정안전부는 수상작 논문집을 발간하여 재난안전분야 연구개발(R&D) 및 정책과제 수립을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있도록 중앙행정기관과 지방자치단체 등 관계기관에 배포할 계획이다.

한국안전학회에서도 논문집을 발간하여 각 대학의 재난안전 관련학과에 배포하고, 필요한 경우에는 절차를 거쳐 학회지에도 등재한다는 방침이다.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security (Minister Jeon Je-cheol) is holding the '2021 Disaster Safety Paper Contest' from June 21st to September 30th.

The 'Disaster Safety Paper Contest', which marks its 6th anniversary this year, is open to anyone, including adults and college (graduate) students, who are interested in the field of disaster safety, including technologies necessary for the prevention, preparation, response, and recovery of disasters and various accidents.

Applicants who wish to participate can write a thesis according to the criteria presented through the website of the ‘Disaster Safety Thesis Contest’ (www.safetycontest.or.kr) and apply online by September 30.

This thesis contest is divided into students and the general public, and is judged fairly through basic evaluation, written evaluation, and presentation evaluation from October to November.

First, a basic evaluation on the suitability of the topic is conducted on the thesis received at the Korean Safety Association to select the subject of the main examination, and a review committee composed of experts such as professors conducts a written examination and a presentation examination on the papers subject to the main examination in sequence. 14 will be finally selected.

Also, until last year, only one grand prize winner was selected, but starting this year, two grand prize winners will be selected, one for students and one for the general public, considering the difference in research conditions between students and industrial workers such as research institutes.

The winners will be awarded certificates and rewards, including the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award, at an awards ceremony scheduled to be held on December 2nd.

For awards, the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award is given to 2 grand prizes and 3 top prizes, and 4 prizes and 5 encouragement prizes are awarded with the President's Award of the Korea Safety Association, respectively.

The prize money is 5 million won for the grand prize, 1 million won for the first prize, 500,000 won for the first prize, and 300,000 won for the encouragement prize.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security plans to publish the collection of award-winning works and distribute them to related organizations such as central administrative agencies and local governments so that they can be used as basic data for R&D and policy task establishment in the field of disaster safety.

The Korean Safety Association also plans to publish a collection of papers and distribute them to the disaster safety-related departments of each university, and if necessary, go through the procedures and register them in the journal.
