서영교 위원장은 국민의 목소리를 듣기 위해 ㈜티브릿지코퍼레이션에 의뢰, 지난 6월 11일~12일(2일간) 전국 만 18세 이상 성인남녀 1,012명(응답률 2.0%)을 대상으로 대체공휴일에 대한 여론조사를 실시했고, 72.5%가 대체공휴일 확대를 찬성한다는 답변을 했다.
